Privacy
This privacy policy is intended to inform the users of this website about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the website operator:

Privacy Policy
The website operator takes your privacy very seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory requirements. Because new technologies and the ongoing development of this website may require changes to this privacy policy, we recommend that you read it again from time to time.
Definitions of the terms used (e.g. "personal data" or "processing") can be found in Art. 4 GDPR.
Access Data
We, the ÖGSL, collect data on accesses to the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (see Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and store it as "server log files" on the website's server. The following data is logged:
- Website visited
- Time of access
- Volume of data sent, in bytes
- Source/referrer from which you reached the page
- Browser used
- Operating system used
- IP address used
Server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, for example in order to investigate cases of misuse. If data has to be retained as evidence, it is exempt from deletion until the incident in question has been conclusively resolved.
Cookies and Audience Measurement
This website does not use cookies. When you visit the public website, no files are stored on your device, and no audience measurement or analysis of your usage behaviour takes place.
Microsoft Teams ("Semmelnare")
Our online talks ("Semmelnare") are held via Microsoft Teams. The Teams link for a talk is only displayed on the relevant talk page from 60 minutes before it begins, and is served exclusively from our own server; until that point, and until you click the link, there is no connection whatsoever to Microsoft.
If you click the Teams link to join a talk, you leave our website and Microsoft's privacy policy for the Teams service applies. This is outside our sphere of influence.
Recordings on YouTube
We link to recordings of past talks directly on YouTube. These are external links, not embedded videos. No connection to YouTube/Google is established when you open the talk page itself. Only when you actively click "Watch on YouTube" do you leave our website, at which point Google's/YouTube's privacy policy applies.
Collection and Processing of Personal Data
The website operator collects, uses and discloses your personal data only where this is permitted within the legal framework or where you have consented to the collection of that data.
Personal data means all information that serves to identify you and that can be traced back to you — for example your name, your email address and your telephone number.
You can visit this website without providing any personal details, unless you use one of the forms described below.
Handling of Contact Data (Forms)
This website offers several forms, including the contact form, the membership application form and forms for ordering or enquiring about products. If you complete one of these forms, the information you provide is stored so that we can process and respond to your enquiry.
The respective purpose of processing and the storage period are shown directly beneath each form. Each form contains its own consent declaration, which cannot be removed and which you must actively confirm before submission is possible. Without your consent, this data is not passed on to third parties and is used solely to process your respective enquiry.

Rights of the User
As a user, you have the right to obtain free information, upon request, about what personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to have incorrect data rectified and to have the processing of your personal data restricted or your data erased. Where applicable, you may also exercise your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Austria: the Data Protection Authority, dsb.gv.at).
Erasure of Data
Provided your request does not conflict with a statutory obligation to retain data, you have the right to have your data erased. Data stored by us is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and no statutory retention periods stand in the way. Where erasure is not possible for legal reasons, processing of the data concerned is restricted; the data is blocked and not processed for other purposes.
Right to Object
Users of this website may exercise their right to object and object to the processing of their personal data at any time.
If you would like your personal data rectified, blocked or erased, or would like information about the personal data stored about you, if you have questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, or if you wish to withdraw consent you have given, please contact: info@oegsl.at
