The Austrian Society for Snow and Avalanches connects theory and practice within Austria's avalanche community.

The association is independent and not-for-profit, pursuing charitable aims: interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and the advancement of teaching, development, training and application in applied snow and avalanche research and related fields. Its activities extend across Austrian federal territory.
